NAIRU
Examples of use of NAIRU
1. If the NAIRU is reduced, a higher level of employment and a lower rate of unemployment can be supported by monetary policy without creating inflationary pressures.
2. Recent research at the ECB and by academic economists and international institutions suggests that the natural rate of unemployment or the NAIRU [non–accelerating inflation rate of unemployment] is currently close to 8 per cent.
